ListVUe™ Product Overview
ListVUe™ was developed by the Vanderbilt University Division of Sponsored Research. ListVUe improves -- by a significant margin -- the speed and efficiency of searches of the Department of Commerce's Commerce Control List (CCL).
Searching the CCL is a challenge to the novice or infrequent user. Similarly, it is an unnecessarily time-consuming task for those experienced persons who must search the CCL frequently. ListVUe is a solution to this problem. It speeds the search process, permits broader searches of more databases, and provides a variety of search options, including:
- Keyword search of the CCL Index
- ECCN citation number
- Commodity control category and sub-category
- Country name
- Control reason – sorted by country name or the controlled item

The Advanced Search Tool (AST) brings together multiple decision-making elements in a scrollable format with links to specific EAR and CCL information such as the ECCN detailed information and the Country Chart. The AST incorporates a search of the Commerce Denied Persons List and provides that search result as the first element in the AST analysis. |

The remainder of the AST analysis includes the link to detailed ECCN information; the Commerce Country Chart for the selected country; applicable controls; and exceptions.
